So two policemen have to shoot dead a mentally ill woman holding a knife? Two burly coppeds can't subdue or disarm a pregnant woman any other way than with a bullet that kills her? Don't know how the scenario played out obviously but it appears a tad excessive.

As I have said in many posts, if you call the Police, expect them to have guns at the ready to shoot.

The time I called the Police someone was shooting into our back yard. They had guns drawn ready to return fire if necessary. It turned out to be our stupid neighbor playing with his kids shooting BB guns at our trees.

Apart from everything else, teachers are notoriously mad and unstable (understandably so of course...).

I would not want to send my child to a school where the teachers are toting guns and might decide they need to shoot somebody.

I was thinking of becoming a school bus driver until I found out you couldn't give one of the little bastards a back handder if they annoyed you. So I guess they would probably discipline someone who shot one.

There was a Teacher in my CC course, well at least one but do not think she was doing it for this reason.

I had a teacher who used to throw chalk and the blackboard eraser at us. God knows what would have happened had she had a gun.

We had the "mad monk", a priest who would do the throwing thing on a mild day, and start punching people when he had a bad day. Looking back, I do think he had issues. and I would not want him in a school with a gun.

White board erasers do not have the same weight behind them. But then again my class used to throw rubber chair feet at one of the teachers.
