Re: WTF in America
Speedy Chico was something else, though. ..... More full of it than a prize Charolais with constipation.

Just had a bizarre conversation at the pharmacy...was there with middle one who is off school sick....tested positive for Flu A, despite flu shot in Jan
Anyway the conversation went something like this....
Pharm - so what did you think of the Texans last night.
Me - don't know, didn't watch it.
Pharm - oh, was he that sick - must have been scary
Me - No, he was in bed, I just wasn't really interested
Pharm - In the draft? How can you say that - the whole world follows the draft!!
Me - Really? I hadn't even heard of it till I moved here.
Pharm - You must have done - aren't the schools closed so the kids can stay up late to watch it...

Re: WTF in America
I was only six at the time but that match (and watching Alex Higgins play in other matches on TV) pretty much cemented my love of snooker right then and there. My grandad and I would watch it round his place all the time.
I shall most definitely be enjoying a few frames (and teaching my son how to play) with my dad when I'm over. In about seven weeks ...
