More than anything, I suspect its because you now have proof they have received all of your paperwork.

I wouldn't say I was excited, but it gives some piece of mind! Next thing you'll get will be a letter saying they've received your paperwork, and that your GC is extended for a year, and maybe an appointment for biometrics. You might even get multiple copies of the same letter, I got 2 receipt letters for some reason.

Indeed they must, they did the same thing with my GC! :) Sent me a good half a dozen "Welcome to the US" letters!

Personally, I think they must be trying to ensure you get your moneys worth by sending you tons of sheets of paper, it costs you enough!

Thats so true. We meant to go there last month but it didnt work out. However, theres a good chance we're moving back to NYC around the end of the year, and if so... GENIOS HERE WE COME!!
