I know, me too! This forum seriously needs a "reaction" option: like / thumbs up / laugh.

Nah, it's more fun when we have misunderstandings and then get seriously pissed off at each other for no real reason. :)

Where are you reading this? From an official government source, or the internet?

It would appear to be on the BBC
I copied a paragraph and got this

One British official told the BBC that the decision had come completely out of the blue. Prime Minister Boris Johnson had been planning to raise it on Tuesday in his meeting in the White House with the president, but with little hope of making progress, the official said.
Note the subtle difference between the BBC report and Karen's comment.

Perhaps Karen is the BBC

Seems that travelers will still have to have a negative test 72 hours before travel, even if fully vaccinated.

That seems far more sensible.

I guess I will try for a third go at attending a wedding in June 2022. Yes - they got married - but will have a big party at the venue.

…she said her parents had been approved for an I-Visa in another thread so she may have good connections to the media.

Plagiarism gives me the pip. We all acquire knowledge and ideas from the media, so it's natural that we'll repeat some reported facts verbatim. But claiming someone else's written work as our own is plagiarism, swapping a couple of words doesn't change that. It's not difficult to link a source.

Mods may like to sort it out if alerted . There is a BE copyright rule after all.

Maybe Karen is an AI bot?

I question myself at times these days if I am talking to a human or a AI bot of some sort because sometimes things are written oddly, and/or like AI bot parsed info from a site and posted elsewhere, who knows, confusing world we live in now.
