Modom was first aware of my existence on the evening of June 10th 2013, we were the 3 noisy chain smoking, beer swilling Brits in the back garden of a hostel in St Jean Pied de Port, France - apparently keeping the other occupants awake.
Morning of June 12th she observed me attempting to purchase tobacco from a pub and was hooked with my poor attempts to convey my requirements to get the landlord to flick the switch that allowed punters to purchase from the vending machine.
About 10am June 12th we had a long conversation on the path from Roncesvalles, Spain and things progressed from there over the next 30 days.

Ordinarily I'd be hard pushed to remember the month let alone day but it's not often one does a 30+ day hike (I spent nearly two months walking out there , modom only had 30 days). Camino de Santiago (St. James Way), French route, was the path in question for those who wonder where you can hike for that long.

Country pub in Bedfordshire possibly summer 1979, was there with boyfriend, he was a friend of the boyfriend. I accidentally knocked a pint over his brand new cords . Roll forward a few months, no longer with boyfriend, he rocked up to my local, I thought he was a bit odd but funny, he got my phone number and called me a few days later. No idea of the date, but it was winter, the fire was burning in the pub. Bought a flat together in June 1986, married January 1991.
