Persephone Books is a lovely shop. I've been there a couple of times on my visits back to London. When you buy a book from them you get one of those nice bookmarks thrown in, like the blue/yellow pattern across the top of the webpage, for example, and they clean up in the shop with feather dusters. I recommend a visit.

I actually walked past there a couple of times over the last several weeks but didn't go in. It's on the same street as one of my favorite London pubs, the Lamb on Lamb's Conduit. Go in there for a pint of Young's ordinary when I'm in town.

I used to go to that pub when I was at my 6th form college on Southampton Row. Good times.

Time to put this thread to bed. I came in here to blow off steam-for those Einsteins among you who think I must be a troll because -you're so incredibly smart, you are possibly the biggest idiots in the bunch. Why would I come on a forum to make these statements? Because I work with a lot of British people in a very PC job and I would never say these things in any other format. Americans are under a lot of pressure to remain politically correct with race, religion, gender, sexual orientation etc etc. What we say about issues like this we say behind closed doors. This seems to be one of the biggest parting factors between Americans who are educated and savvy and stateside Brits. You function as though you just moved from London 20 miles outside and you give such little thought and respect to the people around you. You treat all of us like we're gun toting bible thumpers from Kentucky. The truth of the matter is-you're a bunch of *****. Steam has now been blown off I will go back to being charming and welcoming and acting like I don't notice you constantly making fun of our national holidays and sporting events. P.S. The Queen looks like a cross dressing man and your rugby players are all mentally retarded. Nice talking to ya!

You don't seem to understand Brits very well, it's very upsetting for them not to be able to get a good greasy chip Butty , they get their knickers in a twist over American bacon , beers too cold, not enough pubs, they don't get paid for having kids in the US, few hand outs, no bank holidays ,working hours too long, American sports too hard for them to understand the game, football hooligans are heros in the UK, so have a bit of sympathy will ya!

She does seem fixated on you English Brits...is her failing marriage to an Englishman perhaps?

Amended. The troll was caused to leave the building.

Spoiler:
Meaning that the mods got together and hired a couple of big ugly dudes to throw it out and torch whatever it was it rode in on. They're like that you know.

That's close to where I used to work in Camden Libraries.

No we didn't. We can confirm that the unsub was indeed a suspect American and was more likely to be British. We are still waiting for the DNA results from the autopsy.

We'll need toxicology reports too.

Blood and tissue samples are already at the lab. We do believe that the unsub had to be under the influence of at least one illegal substance.
