Biden is an immeasurably smoother public speaker than Trump. Donald can barely finish a sentence as he rambles from topic to topic.

That's why you need a compilation of gaffs across multiple speeches to portray Biden as ineloquent, but a single video of literally any of Trump's recent speeches would do the job.

Er, yeah,
Deftly avoiding the question.

You were very quick to accuse me of living in a bubble. I'm curious why you think you don't also live in a bubble?

I know that, from the NE where everyone hates Trump (even his family) that it might seem that his defeat is inevitable. That's the second time that that has been the prevailing wisdom, and look how the first time turned out.

I trust that you understand that the dislike that people in NY have for Trump stems from having had a front-row seat to his self-serving antics for the last forty years. Perhaps one of these days "real" America will get wise to the fact that Trump cares about one person: himself. He wouldn't go near his "base" on a bet in years gone by, but now that he needs something from them . . . I can't imagine what he says in private about the MAGA-hat wearing rednecks and evangelicals who vote for him.

Of course I understand that. I am no fan of Trump.

I also understand that here in a Red State the support for him in rural areas is still pretty much universal.

All I'm saying is that it ain't over until the votes are counted.

Maybe he was years ago...but now he either forgets what he should be saying or makes a huge gaff.

I repeat...neither of them are good at public speaking or interviewing. Both parties should be ashamed of themselves supporting these two clowns up for president.

There's no such thing as 'real America'.

The United States is a complicated patchwork. No-one part of it has any greater claim to being 'real America' than any other.

I'll rephrase.

The part of America that doesn't conform to Anyrebell's many incorrect thoughts of what 'Americans' think about Trump.

Biden is immeasurably more eloquent than Trump than now, and certainly will be over the next 4 years should we be collectively lucky enough that he get elected.

Arguing that 'both parties are as bad as each other' or 'both candidates are as bad as each other' on any particular attribute is just a Republican talking point designed to create a false equivalency between the two men.

What a ridiculous comment. I live in the NE, in New York State. I live in a safe Republican house district. Most people around here love Trump, drive ridiculously over-powered pickups sporting confederate flags (etc etc.) See how easy it is to spout generalizations..

Perhaps the outcome of this Covid outbreak proves America doesn't work in some respects. Sure America is a great place when it is light and fluffy and people are living life but give it a challenge like this and it falls apart. For me it seems like they are too many voices all putting in their two cents and going to court over this and that and disregarding whatever they want. There does not seem to be a final authority for anything. If the governor of a state says do something the city within that state does it? Like Atlanta for instance. On hand doesn't know what the other hand is doing.

That was the way the US designed.

That 'Final Authority' you mention was traditionally the King/Queen. The US didn't want a Sovereign. The people are Sovereign and supposed to ultimately be the arbiters of what the Government does through their elected representatives.

Somewhere along the way it kinda got messed up, didn't it?
