Good lord, after reading what some are paying for property taxes, the people here who average 3,000 a year probably get a heck of a deal. MIL is always complaining about her taxes, property value of 745,000 for tax purposes and doesn't even pay 4,000/yr.

The highest average in BC is not even 10,000 a year, West Vancouver has that title as highest average with an average property value of 1.4 million and just shy of 8,000 a year average.

Our property tax is about $12k for a 3200 sq ft home. Gotta love the bay area. Daughter goes back to school on Wednesday.

Property taxes around here are high, average is around 17k-19k for a 2000 sq ft house on a small lot. I have a friend in Bronxville she pays 43k she looks at it as cheap school fees for her 3 kids, if they were in private school she would be paying double that.

Just got our teacher info this weekend. Still no class list for stuff though, except the generic by year one.

Last week of holiday, starts mid week but then has the Friday off...which is daft. Could be worse, we no someone who starts on that Friday and then has the long weekend off
