Mayans, Sons of Anarchy spin off, lots of shooting and other gore, looks good, written by the same writer as Sons.

Looking forward to the arrival of the US series, Chicago PD, Med and Fire, all starting on Sept 26th as a threehander with all involved.

The Last Ship has returned!! for series 5, thought it had really run it's course, but the first of the series was good, a modern take on Pearl Harbour, the baddies being the South Americans, and then US ships all anchored for a Navy Day. Cyber attack taking down all US communications so unable to react to attack.

Several others, The Resident, The Good Doctor etc.

Just finished the second series of Peaky Blinders and I am done. The plot fakery (gunshots in a crowded pub and no one notices?) and melodrama just became too much.

Yes i suppose your right, but as im not actually here yet but only visiting but i admit x amount of months at a time, i have very little to do. When im finally here, rhat will hopefully end 😊

Glad you enjoyed it. I was introduced to it and thought the first couple of episodes showed great promise - lovely scenery (shot mainly in Utah, despite the 'plot' location being Montana), some good actors, and some great potential storylines. But as the series wears on, the plot just gets sillier and sillier. And the main woman - I don't know if she's just a lousy actor, or, the part is so ill-conceived that even Meryl Streep couldn't pull it off. The final episode was just crazy -

I'll watch the next season, hoping against hope they get their plot together

But in the meantime, "Longmire" has the same basic theme but gets everything right ...

On the plane coming over to UK I discovered and binge-watched 'The Handmaid's Tale'. Found it very good indeed, watched as many episodes as I could and was sad the flight was over - high praise indeed!

Does one have to have Hulu to see it, or can one get it on some other channels/services (in the US)? I don't want to have to subscribe to Hulu just to keep up with this one!

For an inoffensive break from reality whilst featuring the problems of everyone's mundane daily life with a dose of WTF thrown in for good measure, I can heartily recommend AMC's Lodge 49.
