Ice Road Truckers. How they drive 18 wheelers on those sort of roads, miles from anywhere, takes some doing.

I think a lot of them are. A few are just same same but there are some really inspirational ones. There's also quite a few real train wrecks!
A lot of them are similar stories. I would think it would be a pretty similar back story of abuse and neglect that would lead someone to such self loathing that the allow their addiction to spiral so out of control.

I actually genuinely like that show now though, because you get to see interesting sites around the world and there is at least a scientific basis for life existing outside of Earth. Also, Giorgio Tsoukalos has the most entertaining hair of anyone in the world.
Also Expedition Unknown because it's really interesting and Josh Gates is a goddamn national treasure.
Guilty pleasure/silly or mostly scripted reality type stuff we watch:
Deadliest Catch
Gold Rush (except **** Todd Hoffman, the feckless moron that he is)
Bering Sea Gold
Anything that involves Gordon Ramsay calling people donkeys in a loud voice
Million Dollar Listing

Right now as I’m typing this, my husband is watching his favourite TV show.....”PD Live” (Police Department - Live”. It is broadcast live on Friday and Saturday nights from 9pm - 12 midnight ET and is basically a TV crew following cops in real time as they respond to calls or on patrol eg. Domestic violence, DUI, theft/robbery, disputes/ fights, drunks and drug addicts. They are usually filming in Warwick, (Rhode Island), Pasco County, (Florida), Slidell, (Louisiana) and also in Texas and Arizona. He absolutely loves watching it!
My faves; I’ve just seen all the episodes of the new Season 4 of ‘Poldark’ (wonderful!). I think it will be shown in the US soon.
Netflix now has every episode of the Aussie comedy “Kath & Kim”....I first saw it many years ago, it’s very very funny!
