What are you doing for Easter?

What are you doing for Easter?
With it coming up, anyone got plans?
Not sure if the missus is working or not, plus the weather is supposed to be a bit poo around here, which sucks, but if it's okay, there's a farm in Sherborn, MA that's doing a free easter egg hunt and they've got a bunch of horses as well as rabbits who have just had a bunch of babies over the last few days so that could be cute.
Lovely town for anyone in the metro west area of MA btw.
Though if the weather is a bust, there's a Sheep shearing festival at Gore Place, the original gov's house in Waltham MA which might be fun, well the little one likes sheep and crafts can always be amusing...it's a cool place too, which is usually free to visit, but this event isn't, though kids are, which is rare. - http://www.goreplace.org/sheepshearing.htm

Skiing! Going to be the last day we'll get on the slopes this season, which is sad.

Having two Easter dinner celebrations. Saturday will be with my sister and her family as her children are coming to visit with the newest granddaughters. On Sunday have invited a friend to join us for the traditional Easter feast.

Easter in the UK was, for me, my favourite time of year. The weather is fairly good, we got a really nice long weekend, and chocolate over flowed It's not the same here, we don't get any days off and no nice eggs
So it's a normal weekend for us ....
But at least we are forecasted to have some nice weather, so I'm looking forward to relaxing in the garden with a good book.

Not much, were thinking of going in to the city for the Easter Bonnet parade on 5th avenue, just to get out of the house as cabin fever is rapidly setting in!!! Think the weathers to be wet so probably end up hanging out here, as Sue said, it's not the same here as hubby has no time off and no decent Easter Eggs but we'll just make the best of it like we always do

It'll be the usual for us, the in laws are descending upon our gaff tomorrow and my wife's cooking a couple of hams and assorted accompaniments.
We're doing nothing on Sunday though, which will be nice. Especially if my mother in law agrees to stay later on Saturday evening to help us clear up the mess so it's done by Sunday morning

Aye, I saw a Cadburys Egg with the mini eggs in Target the other day, but it was fairly small compared to what I'd have gotten with a naff mug in England, and it was $5...bit much for what it was and I do kind of miss those naff mugs
The missus has a friend who makes really nice easter eggs, but they are rather pricey, very nice though. - http://cocoapodchocolates.com/specialtyitems The missus got me a large egg a year or so ago as she got a deal and it was the size of my forearm, we were eating it for a month She's the one who does a bunch of chocolates for Ina Garten, the Barefoot Contessa woman.

I really liked this idea
With no little kids around I probably won't do it though. Here's a recipe, it looks yum specially if you like coconut. Obviously you could use whatever candies you like.

Doing nothing around here. I'm not off today nor Monday, so it will be a typical weekend. The downer is that not much is open Sunday...would have been a great day to go skating, but all the rinks are closed. Wah.
