What odd things have you started doing since moving here?

Well they all seem to want to do at least one IPA, and many do a pale and a stout, plus perhaps a brown ale, so there's plenty of good beers to choose from. But anything with fruit, or chocolate, in the recipe, they can pour down the toilet as far as I'm concerned!

U.S. Brewery Count Tops 3,000 | Brewers Association
Approx 3,040 Craft breweries in the USA, I bet there is a wide range to suit every taste imaginable.

One thing I'll say is I have children & other relatives on both sides of the Pond in this 20s/30s age group, and I quite enjoy hipsterism in all its forms. My husband has big problems with some of the lifestyle choices, though, so I have to listen to his complaints about young people 'defacing' themselves with plugs/piercings/scars/tats ....

Also a few brews around here do decent blueberry ales and cherry wheats that are worth a go. Unibroque do a lovely apple beer too.
I think I might draw the line at the pineapple ale I saw today though....but have tried a lot more weirder sounding beers over here and the craft scene is fun.
Not very cheap though.

I'm about to brew a raspberry lambic....they're pretty tasty but my first go at double fermenting and using the kind of yeast that goes in this...

That doesn't sound to bad....I've had a lobster ale, which wasn't to bad...definitely not a session beer though!

Rogue brewery made a bacon beer, briefly. You can still look the reviews up on-line, but it was universally thought to be, at best, unpleasant.

What odd things????
Using hand sanitiser several times a day. I think that American germophobia is definitely rubbing off on me!
I haven't started using the sanitiser wipes on Walmart cart handles yet...but I feel it coming on!!!
