Off to see The Crash Test Dummies on Jan 22, not sure if it's going to be fun or depressing lol.

Mumford and sons in March, Chris Stapleton in Nov. Went to see Bob Dylan last Nov after i got tickets for $10. It was as expected - got half way through the first song when my 12 yr old son turned to me and said 'is he singing in French?'

Bugger...
Last time Snow Patrol played here the ticket touts snatched up all the tickets within minutes.
On this occasion I got great seats but it's smack in the middle of a physics conference I have to attend on Long Island.
Oh well, I suppose Mrs.H. can find someone to drag along.
Saw the Kooks last week. Definitely ok, Perfectly competent.

Ever seen them?
I could go in Vegas but not sure I can be faffed as I would need to fly out to Long Island the next day..

Yep, seen them back home before. They were also supporting Ed Sheeran.

This week.
Sunday. The Foals. Expected folksy, got rock. Pretty good.
Monday. James Bay. Not entirely my cup of tea but he gave it all and the sold out crowd was rapturous.
Wednesday. Jess Glynne. TBD.
Thursday. Knackered...

I guess you didn't listen to any of their stuff before going. I don't think I could ever describe any of their music as "folksy"
Hopefully they will be coming my way later on this year. I saw them a couple years ago in Charlotte.

It was they way Mrs. H. described them
I'd only really noticed 'My Number' before...
Anyway, I found them like a mix of Kasabian and Two Door Cinema Club and was pleasantly surprised.
I listened to their set list on the way to the gig in the car but the actual concert was much more dynamic.
I see they're the featured group in Q this month.

Wednesday.
Jess Glynne. Slick, polished, enjoyable, great voice. Millennials who buy a seat then stand in front of you all night doing their calculated dance routines. I need a phaser.
Thursday. Knackered...
(Incidentally the Wiltern is like the Glasgow Apollo, great acoustics. Standing downstairs, seating in the balconies. Don't know why the standers buy seats in the balcony.
Oh, and one couple had all their children, under 5, with them. Dancing in the aisles. Ear damage for them I'm sure)
Next stop Zara Larrson
Then Chemical Brothers
