Booked my tickets for Flight of the Conchords in July. Never thought I'd get the opportunity, very pleased to see them tour again

We're going to see them in SF. Saw them at the Edinburgh Fringe years ago, when they were nominated for the Perrier. Highly amusing.

A bunch of friends went to see the Who, at the Garden in Boston a few days ago and all said it was great.
Kind of wish I'd bothered now...worth catching if they're going to be in town.

Went to see The Cure last night, they sounded great, tight music and Robert Smith's voice was really good. They played for over 2 hours, with 3 encores, around 35 songs, a good mix of their really popular stuff and some more obscure stuff. I'm not a huge Cure fan, my husband is much more, he reckoned they played at least one song from every album. They finished with Boys Don't Cry which was just brilliant.
The only downside of the gig was I think they'd have been better in a indoor venue, maybe that's just a personal preference though, I think the atmosphere gets a bit lost outside.
I find it interesting seeing British bands over here, there are some songs that weren't huge hits at home that were obviously much bigger out here.
Also, saw The Last Shadow Puppets a couple of weeks ago, who were absolutely awesome. I'm a massive Arctic Monkeys fan, so don't pass up an opportunity to see Alex Turner. The new album had only been released a couple of days prior, so most of the songs weren't known to the crowd, but it really didn't matter. They really pulled it off, the slower pace of LSP means Turners voice really stands out, you forget how much he really can sing. He also put on a great performance as a showman, he has a real swagger and oozes confidence.
Nothing lined up now, although I'm contemplating tickets for the Pet Shop Boys, just because I reckon they know how to put on a show after all these years.
