We tried to buy tickets in the Pre sale on Thursday, 2 of us, on 2 devices each, couldn't get any tickets, it sold out within minutes. Ended up getting 2 off stubhub, for virtually face value, some on there were $800+. I hate touts

It is nuts. A bunch of us are planning on going so all mine are spoken for. Seeing a couple pit tickets on stubhub for 1700/ea - (face value were 75+ processing); other pit are going for 1k. Ridiculous.

It'll be interesting to see the mix of people going! ..... Hope there isn't mass flow of eyeliner and white facepaint due to weather changes ......

So ridiculous. My tickets were $55 each for Madison Square Garden. Plus Ticketmaster's fee which is now $16.50 a ticket.

Y&T ...... real time posting, I'm waiting for them to hit the stage.

I never thought I'd get the chance as they have been very quiet for many years, as far as I know they never toured the UK, and NC is largely ignored by rock bands large and small. ....(ETA) And the lead singer/lead guitar playerl thinks this is the first time they have ever played Charlotte.

Anyhow I heard that they were coming here, so jumped at the chance - they're a great band, made over a dozen albums (I have them all), but never quite made the big time.

Having not been to a concert in a while, within four months of moving we'll have seen Coldplay, Adele, The Goo Goo Dolls and Modest Mouse.

10 years this month since I first saw Coldplay (in Las Vegas lol) so that'll be interesting. My fiancee wanted to see Adele and the others so I'm tagging along.

I noticed Def Leppard were coming to my city and was thinking of going to see them - last time I saw them was 32 years ago at a small club, the Mayfair in Newcastle.
Seems I've been out of the gig scene for a long time - to get 2 tickets within a reasonable range of the stage would have been $340, even right at the back it was getting close to $200.
I don't want a nostalgia trip that badly....

Bands used to tour to sell records, now they give away downloads to sell concert tickets.

Took daughter and wife to see Adam Lambert last night at The Filmore in Charlotte. First time to that venue and is good 'intimate' place (no innuendos please!). Was actually pretty good and he has a good stage presence (liked him when he did the New Year's Eve gig with Queen the other year but that's about it).
