Smile What british food are you craving?

Hello all,
Still a new member, and so far it seems like all of my posts have been about food! I'm pregnant with my second child and this go around it seems like i'm obsessed with food i grew up with. (and all of it unhealthy!)

So, I'm craving sausage rolls, custard, apple crumble (Which i made yesterday and was quite a success!) Anyone else got an old favorite that they are craving?

Any shared recipes would be lovely also!

There is a great recipe thread in the lounge forum with lots of lovely things to eat. Here is the recipe I used to make sausage rolls recently. They came out fab! I used Jimmy Deans Sage sausage meat.

Rhubarb crumble! My all time favourite desert, which Mrs P does make for me from time to time during the rhubarb season.

Mostly I avoid cravings of British foods as, much as I enjoy, say, plain chocolate Hobnobs, I resent paying several dollars for a packet of biscuits. I do miss British back back, and black pudding though, but not quite enough yet to get supplies shipped half way across the state (maybe one day? ).

Cunningham's pickled onions and piccalilli...Henderson's Relish. I used to love Henderson's Relish on chips.

Scotch pies, proper chip shop chips, chicken korma, the one that our local UK Indian takeout does/did.

I used to live near a chippy in Wimbledon that did the best fish and chips I have ever had. It is run by a Greek family, and I always had them fry a haddock filet for me.

Proper bacon. Yes, I know you can get it (along with most other British things) but just not being able to think "I want bacon" one minute and have your hunger solved within the next few minutes is not right!

(The other Indian restaurant nearby we have discovered does actually do pretty good Indian food)

I'm going back on the 14th and I'm going to have a bacon/sausage sandwich, a kebab, a balti, chip shop chips with curry sauce, and Cadbury's chocolate biscuits. Probably not all at once. Can't wait
