That isn't the issue.. I can afford it but OH thinks I'm a speed devil so I'm not allowed to get one, he's worried that I'll hit a deer/rock/God knows what (commonly found on these roads) and "he loves me very much and wants to grow old with me".. Awwwww... I still want one though!
That being said, I've recently decided that I wouldn't want to be told what to do, and therefore while I really wish he didn't want one, he can have one if he does. And of course he does.

Your adventures brings to mind stories I've read of the pioneers in the settlement of this country, coming ahead from one setback and another.
