Watching the election results
How are you going to watch the results come in?
What TV channel will you watch? Or website? Or Twitter? Or...?
What will you be drinking?
What kind of drinking game will you be taking part in?
Anyone going to be buying gold and filling the basement with provisions and water?

Re: Watching the election results
I'm going to enjoy not watching the results- I'll just go on the internet sometime to see the result and be happy that it's over.

Not watching either. Both are losers IMO but the biggest loser will be the American public.

I don't generally watch. I just look online after the polls close and see the end result, no need to sit and watch it all roll in.

Re: Watching the election results
I'm on the East Coast so won't stay up late to watch it.....there are loads of U.K. and other foreign Media reporters who are now in the US to cover the election.
I think it might be interesting to hear the results and commentary from a British perspective so will probably doze off whilst listening to LBC (LBC - Leading Britain's Conversation) through my headphones.
I have the LBC App on my iPhone and iPad and can listen to it and also many other British and worldwide radio stations via the "Tune In" App, so will probably switch between a few stations in addition to LBC e.g. BBC Radio 4 and 5, Sky News radio, maybe an Aussie radio station.
My spouse is planning to stay up through the wee small hours (then go to work on the 6.35am train into New York City.....the editorial team and journalists at his company will be putting in many hours all week).
Btw: I really don't like either candidate. In New Jersey there is a space where you can write in the name of the candidate of ones choice.....my son's girlfriend suggests writing down the name of our pet rabbit

The wife has already stated she will be watching the results all night. She'll wanna watch MSNBC which does my head in with its obvious bias. I'll see if I can persuade her to watch sky.

I think I'll pass and binge watch the second half of The Crown on Netflix with some tea and hob nobs

I'm tempted by Stephen Colbert on Showtime.
I have a bottle of wine in the fridge ready and waiting... I think I'm gonna need it.

oooh...that sounds perfect.
We don't get Showtime though...so have to make do with CNN, tune out their yadda yadda punditification, but get the results as they come in.
Then...it's either with an enormous sigh of relief or and despair
Good luck America
Good luck world

Re: Watching the election results
I'd like to say I'm not going to watch it at all, but if I am awake for the early results I may get sucked into staying up. No doubt tomorrow I will hate myself if I do stay up.

Re: Watching the election results
Let's put it this way, if the choice was between watching the election results and having red hot pokers shoved up my arse for eternity, I'd be thinking really hard about the pokers.
