Washing a baseball cap........

That of course is what prompted the question. Does the agitator in a top loader beat the crap out of the baseball cap.

Now I haven't done a deep dive into a certain Jeremy Anderberg but apparently he seems to have a few baseball caps and has allegedly done extensive research into washing/cleaning such items

I think in his summation and his own words that a top loader is the devils work. Are you sure the stain that appears to be rust in colour isn't in fact Irn Bru that your Scottish friend might have inadvertently spilt on your England cap?

No agitators?

"Power concedes nothing without a struggle. It never did and it never will."
Probably goes for hat stains, too.

Top load washers with agitators provide a better cleaning performance. Whereas, top load washers with no agitator may be more gentle to clothes, they really aren't as effective at cleaning clothes compared to top load washers with an agitator.

Washing them in a pillow case like women do their bras might avoid structural damage, but won't touch the sweat and grease on a real man's ball cap. For all the time it takes, doing them in the kitchen sink is easiest and most effective.

Are we ever going to see photographic evidence of the existence of this mythical baseball cap? Before and after washing so we can judge the effectiveness of the chosen cleaning method.

Do we still do awards at the end of the year as this thread could be nominated as thread of the year, the WGAF thread, thread that has no references to India in it, thread that has no reference to BREXIT etc etc

Best not. The reality is never as good as the fantasy.

No bloody Marxists in here, either.
