Ours rarely even have a bloke at the door pretending to be helpful.

I do, of course, consider that to be a good thing. Once I've managed to successfully ignore and get past whatever charity/fundraising muggers who have set up their stall right by the door, it's a pain to have to pretend not to see someone else right away.

The AR15 isn't an assault rifle. The M16, its selective fire cousin, isn't available to civilians unless it was registered before the cut off in 1985, and the transfer is subject to Federal and state law.

Never seen one in a Walmart, low rent rifles and shotguns seem the norm.

Anybody come across any deals?

Local gun shop that was closing down did a all you can fit into a hand basket sale for $50 cash last summer. Don't think that included the handguns, but it did for ammo, mags and everything else.

They might in WA, can't remember.
They sell them in Alberta. Only have ammo at the smaller stores but they've got some rifles and shotguns in the Supercenters usually.

Canadian Tire sells guns for sure.

Huh? I remember going into the hunting section at a Carrefour hypermarket in France and they sell rifles and shotguns.

Fortnum & Masons used to sell guns. Not sure when they stopped.

Anyway, can you say "market saturation", you can only sell so many AR-15s.

Great PR for Walmart. Those who are scared of guns will see it as Walmart backing them, and those who are pro guns don't shop at Walmart for firearms anyway.

I buy all my ammo at Walmart. Yes they had 22LR last week. Only one box per customer.
