Default Valentine's Day

I just got a shout out from Jo Whiley on Radio 2 for Valentine's Day.

Anyway, was wondering when Dad/Daughters cards became a thing...?

Seems to be the norm for teachers to give Valentine's cards/chocs to their pupils. There would be quite a ruckus in the UK if teachers, father's, friends, etc started to send cards to all and sundry!

How ridiculous. The horribly commercial concept of giving cards/presents to prove you love your other half is bad enough without extending this to kids, dads, mums, daughters, sons etc etc. FFS, just be a nice person every day of the year and do away with all the crap.
