USA passport renewal timeline
State Department website is saying 10-12 weeks for routine(non-rush) service.
I sent ds-82 passport renewal form on 3-23 for both a new passport and passport card with post office 2-3 day trackable service.
Tracking shows arrived in Greenwood IN on 3-26
Check cashed on 4-6
Approval email on 4-8
I'll update when I receive them.
Funny thing, I mailed it to Irving TX. That's the address it shows on the form for people living in Texas to mail it too.

"
It may take up to 4 weeks from the day you apply until your application status is “In Process.” During these 4 weeks, your application is delivered to a mail facility, your payment is processed, and your application is scanned and sent to us."

Update
Passport received today. Passport was printed on 4-7-21 so valid until 4-6-31. It was printed at the western passport agency in Tucson AZ. The passport page's artwork didn't change from the last one. Good to go for another decade!

Passport came by overnight mail and I got a new passport card in the regular mail. Card is valid for the exact same dates. It came from Houston. Haven't received the old passport/card yet. The process took 1 day less than 3 weeks from mailing to receiving.

Old passport/passport card received today. Came from zip code 77002 which is downtown Houston where the Houston passport office is. Interestingly, at least to me, is the logistics of the process. I mailed my renewal for both passport/passport card to Irving TX. It was instead sent to Greenwood IN. My new passport was printed at the passport agency in Tucson AZ. My new passport card was printed at the Houston TX passport agency. My old passport/passport card, which went to Indiana was mailed back to me from Houston TX. So my old passport/passport card was sent from Indiana to Houston then back to me. Just me thinking, My ds-82 passport renewal form was scanned into the State Department's system in Indiana and then "assigned" to be printed at the passport agency with least amount of backlog and the card was "assigned" to be made at a different agency. Again maybe that's just interesting to me.

Re: USA passport renewal timeline
I regret having listened to the State Dept in March 2020 when they said not to send in renewals as they had stopped routine processing, oh well not like I am going to travel anywhere, and I can still get into the US if need be from Canada with a little extra red tape at the border.

I don't anticipate getting mind this year at all, I need to do mine in person due to a snafu, earliest appointment at the Vancouver Consulate I could get was early September, and I made that appointment end of May.
