Default US equivalent to Robinson's Orange Squash

Anyone know what the American equivalent is to this please? I'm getting tired of drinking constant orange or apple juice from concentrate or fresh. I miss simple orange squash. No where seems to sell anything similar. Any ideas?

Have you tried World Market? They might actually have it. I've seen Lemon Barley Water and Ribena in the British aisle in a couple of local supermarkets so it's worth a try.

Failing that, some of the 'instant' crystals from wally world and the like aren't too bad, either. You could give them a try, see what works for you.

I see Ribena for sale here in Stop and Shop for like $8 (!), so I need an American alternative - i'd be bankrupt soon at those prices!

The nearest worldmarket to me is DC, which is 500 miles away unfortunately. Shame, as from their website they look quite good!

Thanks for tip re instant crystals.

My husband drank Orange constantly while in the UK, but he professes himself satisfied with Crystal Light here in the US. Not the same, but fills the same hole, so to speak.

I drank gallons of orange squash back in the UK, but have given up trying to find an equivalent here (except paying lots of money for imported Robinsons). These days I buy cartons of orange juice or lemonade (the Newmans brand) and dilute it 50/50 with water and ice cubes and its pretty refreshing.

For what it's worth, I quite like Tang. I used to mix my squash quite strong back home (almost 1:1) and it's reminiscent of that taste.

All I drink is orange squash, so when I arrived to find it isn't really over here, I was pretty gutted to find the yanks don't drink it. However I have found a substitute. I now drink MIO. It comes in different flavors, the one I use is the tangerine. Comes in small bottles and you add a couple of shots to a pint of water. It'll take a couple of pints to get accustomed to the different taste, but it's all I drink now and is a great substitute for UK squash.

I know you can get them here, though. Again in the British aisle (where applicable) or at World Market (where practical).

Yeah I was going to say that. Crystal Light Orange is very simlar to orange squash. The energy ones with added caffeine are also a good alternative to pop, doesn't wreck your teeth.

Unfortunately they no longer make sugar-free Tang, or I would go for it in place of the Robinson's no-added-sugar squash.

I've only ever had the regular sugary Tang. I liked it.
