Can anyone recommend another good foreign detective series as good as The Bridge or The Killing? I'm just getting to the end of Season 2 of The Bridge and I can feel the withdrawal symptoms coming on already.

Hey folks. I'm a grad student studying global media in NYC. I would love to know the ways in which experiencing Broadchurch and other UK TV shows is unique for British expats. Does it make you feel closer to home? How is it connected to your sense of identity as a Brit and to your relationship with British/English culture? Any responses and thoughts would be greatly appreciated!

The Crimson Field, 6 part drama set in a WW1 French hospital, starts tonight on BBC 1. Meanwhile, Endeavour continues tonight on ITV.

I thought Part 2 was a bit disappointing, lacking is real explanation - I was left think, "But Why?"
Still, it's good drama and one of many programs just recently that shows British TV to be among the best.
I find myself now flipping the channels and whenever I come across a US crime drama, I wonder why they all look like catwalk models. Even the middle-aged men have blow-dried, coiffed hair. Where are the crooked teeth and bad suits?

I downloaded ITV Player and was befuddled why I couldn't find the program ... then the light bulb went off and I downloaded STV Player. Should have known, living where I do ...
