Re: Trucks... Who has what?
The cool thing is you said truck, not "4x4". Hate it when the UK press refer to SUVs and pickups as "4x4s" when they're doing their judging and hating (and envy).
I myself drive a F350 quad cab with the 6.7 liter diesel engine.
I have a kit installed whereby I can "roll coal" on eco-weenies, Coexist-ers, liberals and cyclists. It gets 12 mpg, produces 3000 ft lbs or torque and there's an air compressor-driven train horn for funning people.
The only downside is people always presume to ask you to help them move.

Re: Trucks... Who has what?
There's quite a few Pinzgauers around here and the occasional Unimog.
My advice would be don't buy Ford or Chevy/GMC. Same with Dodge. Definitely don't buy a Cadillac. Avoid Toyota, Honda and Subaru like the plague. Land Rovers - very unreliable. Nissan is right out. No Isuzus, Mercedes, Infinitis, Lexus, Hyundais.
I would personally recommend, for your needs, a Haglunds BV206.
Very versatile and you can bring the entire soccer team and their equipment.

I recently got a 2018 Chevrolet Colorado Z71. Didn't need a full-size and it was significantly better equipped than a similarly priced TRD Tacoma.
I've got 4WD, but only had to use it once here in CO with the snow. Surprisingly well equipped considering I went from a 2015 Volkswagen GTI. I have heated/electric seats, the hill climb/descend assist thing, WiFi with OnStar, Apple CarPlay and a few other toys.
Best to wait for one of the dealerships to do their "Truck Month' thing. We ended up saving quite a bit and we also got an additional $1000 off just for being CostCo members.
Oh and to add, don't forget the price of registering it. Cost $700 here in Jefferson County, Colorado.

Yeah to be fair it’s now seeming like truck month is every month here!
My wife has decided not to further her degree and now I work from home permanently we don’t see any reason to stay in Colorado so we’ve been looking at Bozeman Montana as a spot for us to buy our first house. We’ll be driving up there the weekend after next so depending on their weather I’ll be glad to have the truck

2011 Ford F150 FX-4 with Super Crew Cab. Love it.

As an aside and fully aligned with the ASPCA - don't ignore the old dogs, they need homes too.
This is my '92 F150 FlareSide - 302 Windsor selectable AWD - everything, but everything still works on it just as it did when it left the plant.

Being pedantic (and assuming you are not referring to Duramax) the GM Vortec engine is a detuned LS small block.

The seventies flare-side was the ultimate "winner". You have good taste, for a pompous, arrogant muffin.

Re: Trucks... Who has what?
I just bought a new Silverado. RWD. Not really any call for 4x4 round here. Would certainly go 4x4 in Nebraska. The Sierra and Silverado are basically the same truck with some cosmetic differences and options.
I looked at the F-150 but ruled it out because Ford are moving toward the smaller, turbo engines (Ecoboost). Call me old fashioned but you can't beat a big-block V8. I don't believe the Ecoboost have enough history to prove their longevity.
Dodge are the other domestic brand. I used to have a Dodge Caliber and found it cheaply made so that put me off Dodge.

Anybody driven the Raptor? Or even better the Shelby version??
