I take it you're not too keen on the place, then?

When they're tweens perhaps.

Nightmare lugging around kids now though and so horrendously expensive for something they'll just forget about in five minutes....they're right fish memories my two for anything decent :/

I went to Disney Tokyo when I was a teen and enjoyed it, wasn't nearly as expensive out there either, but it probably is now.

Which one? There are at least a couple that have different "best" rollercoasters. I guess you're thinking Cedar Point but there's PKI too.

That's what a well padded basement is for....not the entertainment centre.

Cedar, for the rickety wood jobby.

But it's not going to happen. Kids have buyers remorse climbing into a bouncy castle at the moment as it is

Ah well in that case you definitely want to visit KI (apparently not Paramount any more)! Longest wooden rollercoaster in America. I've just realised it's 12 years since I went there but still remember feeling pretty hyped after that one. It's near Cincinnati.

Dd is 8 still haven't been, she mentioned it on the ride home from school today. Maybe when we move back to UK I'll buy a package holiday to Disneyworld and get it over with in a couple of years, I won't want to come back right away.

I just checked the price for Disney Tokyo and it is 6,200 yen(about $62) which is surprisingly low considering everything in Tokyo is significantly more expensive than Florida.

More of a detour than I was willing to make.

Now if we didn't bother with this wedding we're going to, that would give us a couple extra days...though the little one is their flower girl so we might be missed

That is a surprise that it stayed so low.

Got me wondering about Euro Disney, but not enough to look it up

Yeah, it's hard to know which is best. I think Disney is more magical when they are young, and the characters are all wonderful, but they probably won't remember it. When they are older, it's just another theme park, but they'll remember going.

Although mine doesn't remember the first time we went (Paris when she was 3) I will always remember her face the first time we walked through the gates. It was more than worth the money for that single moment. We've been so many times now, all her memories jumble into one, but she already looks back on times at Disney as being some of her happiest memories, and remembers odd moments from years back.
