What I don't understand (apart from many other things) is why someone of whatever sex is going to pretend to be transgender and dress up in opposite gender clothing just to go into a toilet to abuse a child of the opposite sex. Wouldn't they stick to what they know and either abuse a child of the same sex or find a child somewhere other than a toilet?

Hope it never happens but all this cross gender toilet stuff will come to an end when some unlucky female gets attacked by a rapist pretending to be a cross gender person

Right, because it's completely unheard of for someone to get sexually assaulted in a bathroom by a non - cross gender person.

If someone wants to rape someone, there are a multitude of ways to do so that don't involve dressing up in opposite gender clothing and a multitude of places to do it that don't involve public toilets. Perhaps the people protesting this should take off their blinkers and look at a broader view of how to prevent rape and ensure safety for everyone, everywhere, regardless of the gender of the offender or whether the crime happens to take place in a public toilet.

It's already incredibly easy to walk into a women's restroom while looking like a regular man. Pretending to be or actually being trans will make no difference to a rapist.

I wouldn't know how to prevent rape from happening. Many times it does happen when a woman forced by unavoidable circumstances finds herself alone and how would you "ensure a safe environment for everyone, everywhere" anyway ?

I've done it once, at the pub when the gents' were closed. I announced my presence by letting them know I was coming in for a slash but nobody cared since we were all pissed.
I also had to go into the ladies' one night by request because a bloke had gone in there by mistake and started taking a shit, and none of the girls wanted to go in there to tell him he was in the wrong bog
But anyway, no offense mate, the notion that letting trans men (if I'm getting the terminology correct) into the women's toilets will cause an increase in rapists dragging up is a bit ridiculous to me.
