well, thanks for the heads-up. I'll check but it's not a deal breaker for me as I can't remember the last time I sent an actual text internationally - I tend to use whatsapp or fb messenger

Can you not use WiFi calling at home? The big 4 networks all offer it now on postpaid as long as you have a compatible phone.

Whose towers do they use? And can you switch to wi-fi calling if/when 4G LTE is spotty?

Ultra uses tmobile towers, I don't think they support wifi calling.

Oh, interesting....am with TMobile now. But use wi-fi calling a lot. Will try to call them - their web site doesn't say - which probably indicates they don't

Tmobile supports sms short codes but I don't think ultra does
