Three Little Pigs
...type book turned down for an awards list in the UK.
It's getting ridiculous now
Don't know who it offends the most - Muslims or cowboy builders?

Re: Three Little Pigs
If I lived in England, I would have a fit over something like that. That's CRAZY! DH told me a story of a family trying to get a permit for a "pig roast" party on their property in the area he lived in England....it was denied citing that "it may offend Muslims living in the area." I thought he was just making stuff up because he was in a complaining mood...

Re: Three Little Pigs
So, once again, some arsehole government department is actually alienating british citizens from the muslim community by way of trying not too. Where do they find these idiots? The backlash from this will of course be for the un-informed and ill-educated readers of the Sun, the Star, the Mail etc to blame.....gues who? You got it, the muslims who probably have no idea or could care less about some kids story.
There are no doubt certain members of BE cracking their knuckles right now as they prepare to post some tripe about these bloody muslims ruining our great british society and refusing to 'fit in' while dictating what our kiddies can and cannot read at bedtime.
Stop the world, I wanna get off!!!

Re: Three Little Pigs
So perhaps someone knows the answer to this.
Muslims do not eat pork as they believe pigs to be dirty animals based on a few passages in the Koran - I can accept that - fair enough.
However is there any reason that they are OFFENDED by the sight or in fact simply the very mention of our tasty four hoofed friends ??
I had always thought that people just mixed up offensiveness with not eating.
