I have to admit I've not ridden bareback often enough and tend to slip when the horse goes around in a circle..but again practice makes perfect...but I do love taking my feet out of the stirups to help me with balance and to feel the ride..
I do love the engish style of riding especially with the long leg (maybe because its what I started on)....saddleseat tend to be more like the Hunter/jumper position (more bend in the knee) but I just lengthen the straps and off I go...
The saddlebred IMHO seems to be a proud breed, they hold their head up high and very slim build and can do gaits called "slow gait" and "the rack"...and you know what they say..... "once you rack you can never go back" it truely is an awesome feeling...
