Thoughts from a small island
 

I came. i saw…. and the uk gave me something not so special. yep Covid 😭
I’m so sad. i waited nearly 4 years to go home.. had a brilliant first week then got ill

Luckily my perfect best pal has only recovered from rona approx a month ago so i stayed with her and isolated for a week till i was negative.

I heard that covid in uk is at its highest the last 2 weeks than for months. i’ve worn a mask ( had to at work) every day since 2020. Took it off on hols and the blighter got me in the end. A good old dose of it to boot!!!

on a positive side it was wonderful to see family and my friend is an angel and i’ve stocked up on goodies including a christmas pud.

Just as an aside if flying out of T3 at heathrow then you can get lots of choccies etc. fortnum and maison biccies as gifts.

Oh and my case was 50 pound on the nose.
Missing the motherland and trying to get my strength back.

Sorry you got sick. Not surprised COVID is bad over there, when I was there is September virtually no-one was wearing a mask even in enclosed crowed places like the Tube. At least you got a Christmas pud, the Christmas food wasn't in the stores while I was there so i missed out on that and mince pies. Had to make do with chocolate digestives. :lol:
