Sorry to hear that news Steerpike. So many times people "hang on" until you've visited.

No Schedule released yet for next summer for Air Canada Rouge flights to the UK. My plans have changed so I'm now flying to Lisbon and back from Edinburgh, but I am still hoping for a one-way flight back from Edinburgh via Toronto.

This time, it was SFO-LHR on BA, then LHR-MAN on BA; returning by AA through PHL. Included aisle-seat reservations and luggage in the price.

From now on - I'm never going to fly without calling these guys.
Condolences to you mate. Sorry to hear your news. Take care x

Steerpike, I'm really sorry to read about your mum. It doesn't matter how expected it is, it's still a horrible thing.

Really glad that you found that company for decent flights though, thank goodness for that! Take care mate x

Earlier in this thread, I mentioned that I got a great deal by calling a company that bundled air fare with car rental (or hotel). I got two great packages with only 7 days notice. Now a relative wants to come visit me in the US; are there companies anyone can recommend in the UK that do a similar deal for US visits? These are 'telephone only' deals that require combinations of flights with some other service (Car, Hotel, etc).

There are a few Expedia is one and several others if googled.

However the latest trend to not include baggage on basic fares I find means that British airways often come up very competitive by going direct, when bundled with a car I find them difficult to beat.

Plus they have just started doing direct to Pittsburgh as of next year so it's convenient
