Banshee is back...didn't really kick off to a great second series I thought, but then it was a fairly mediocre show that plodded along.

It's about a dodgy convict fellow who ends up pretending to be a sheriff of a town when the new sheriff arriving in town dies.

Thanks Bob I didn't realise Banshee was back...we enjoyed the first series.

Over all, I still liked the first series, but thought it could have done without much of the middle bit. Great start and end to the series.

I guess Arrow was like that as we gave up around the middle and quite a few friends said it got much better, so we're catching repeats on that one and once you get past the middle third of the series, it did get pretty good.

Well a lot of recognisable faces and some nice scenery....but really didn't get into it.

Seemed very slow after the initial battle and the characters were all a bit flat and unlike-able.

Just didn't get into it or like it that much. Will give it a bit more of a go though.

True Detective

Shaping up to be a gripping crime drama. I don't usually like Matthew McConaughey but he's good in it.

Black Sails, at least episode 1, is directed by Neil Marshall (Dog Soldiers, Descent and Centurion) I know directing is less of an issue in TV, but it might point to at least it having some interesting subject matter that attracted Marshall. This is enough to get me to watch it.

I know everyone and their aunt did a remake of this. Anyone see "The Tunnel" The Anglo-French remake. Was it any good?

I made it through the first one, but slow going. Hopefully it picks up

Didn't care for it - although the scenery/set is amazing.

Watched Rake - remake of Aussie TV show - lacks a lot of charm from the original. won't be watching that again.

As they film in Charlotte, my OH jumps in every now and then for a bit of a laugh as an extra. He is in the next lap dance scene - one of four fellas getting a dance. Said it took 4 hours to film and he got the attractive and almost naked one - he said the other 3 were complete mooses! He really enjoyed the day! He really needs to grow up!

We really liked it. It's very cold and some of the characters take a bit to warm to but a great bit of drama.

The Walking Dead

Returns....bit weird....but I kind of enjoyed it more than most of the first half of the series tbh....even if the zombies do seem to be a bit more grim at the moment.

To be fair, they don't have much to be happy about.
