Re: Tele
Alcatraz What a load of %&^$ last nights season ending episode was. We had watched some of the season so thought we would invest 2hrs in the last episodes. Hopefully they do not bring it back
Killing comes back next week but after the debacle of the end of last year leaving everyone hanging Im not sure
We have never watched Madmen DVRD the 2hrs from Suinday Is it worth trying to get into it
Now that walking dead is over we are down to basically zero on US tv
Any good drama suggestions?

Anyone catch the new horde of shows?
Magic City, about hotels and mobs back in Frank Sinatras time...but it sounds a bit shit, so I gave it a miss, but is it worth a look?
True Justice, got this lined up despite how shit it sounded as it has Steven Segal, under cover team of cops.

'Game of Thrones' and 'The Killing' are back!
Game of Thrones, just picked up where it left off. Looking as good as ever.
The Killing is an odd one (only watched one of the double bill, thus far). Early on it proved me wrong on one change from the original that I thought it was making, just presenting the same stuff in a new bundle instead; then presented me with a new change from the original that I did not see coming. A bit early to say if this is going to make it or not. Will stick with it and see which way it swings. I hope it does not go down a conspiracy ring route too much.

Re: Tele
Everyone was a marital arts expert, bad ones though, Seagal was a body double in all the action and he looked and sounded terrible.
The rest of the characters were pretty bad and didn't know how to act either.
This is all without getting into how bad the storyline is....safe to say, first and last episode that...not even I will get it a few to warm up.

I have officially declared to never watch the utter dross that is NCIS:LA again. It was always cheesy wank - but the laying-on think nonsense about the God-like status of Navy Seals is actually making me angry. Especially when it's repeated at face value despite LL Cool J and Batman's sidekick investigating another freaking murder conducted by a Navy Seal on another Navy Seal (or in the case of the last one I watched - by six Navy Seals on one other one). Usually after a Seal has either stolen millions of dollars or threatened to derail the very War on Terror itself for personal gain. The show is pretty much about American military people killing each other - buffered by reminders that there is no nobler human on earth than an American military person. It's annoying.
I'll probably watch the original NCIS again tho. The cheese in that makes me laugh rather than seethe. Unless they have the boss deliver another ****ing baby or have another one of the investigators' mothers show up and admitting that they've secretly been CIA agents for decades and were involved in secret worldwide black-ops plots to dramatically change the human race forever.

Person of Interest-Just happened to see that last night. I was struck how it reminded me of The Equalizer ( I had a crush on Edward Woodward) and Jim Caviezel was no strain on the eyes either.

Re: Tele
We like this show. Unlike most of the other conspiracy/mystery/what's going on-type progs, the backstory is just that, secondary to the action and it's curiosity that keeps you watching rather than it being a necessity to the plot.

Saw 'Scandal' last night. I didn't fancy it from the trailers but i happened to be sitting around doing nothing so watched it because it was on.
The reason I was going to avoid in the first place was because the main charater, Olivia, seemed really obnoxious in the trailers. I personally thought the episode played out the same way. Not sure I'll bother with it again, but they seem to have set up the story arc right away - she finds out peoples' dirty little secrets to use against them for her clients' benefit, but she has one of her own ( which seems to be that she had an affair with the President of the USA)

Re: Tele
We have stuck with Person of Interest also, only one of the new shows we stayed with.
Have Whitechapel and Killing lined up on DVR
Never seen Madmen so we gave it a shot last week. We both looked at each other and said is this as good as it gets Didnt even finish episode
Are we the only ones who depend on subtitles Everyone seems to mumble these days or the background noise/ music drowns everything
