What American culinary delights have you discovered since moving to US and now just can’t live without? Here are a few of mine….

Root beer floats
Krispy Kreme Donuts
Frozen custard
Cheese curds
Cheetos
Pancakes with maple syrup

Dill pickles
Buffalo wings

They are the ones I've been gorging on since I tried them at my MILs. I really need to cut back. :D

Really really humongous hero's, the ones where all the fillings & FIXINGS, slide out the side, as you try to eat it. Invented by the dry cleaning association of America.

Ps. Whatever happened to lettuce leaves, nice and crispy full leaves. I hate that shredded crapp.

I don't quite understand why they give them to you at KFC though - doesn't seem right: fried chicken, mash and gravy, coleslaw and a buttermilk biscuit??? Very strange....

It's a southern thang. Most use the biscuit to wipe up the extra gravy in the plate. Or you can pull some meat off a breast and make a sammich. Lastly, it's a good desert when you put jelly on it. It just makes sense. Now if you want really good biscuits then Popeyes is the one. All that artificial goodness to clog the arteries. Yummm....this thread is making me hungry.:(
