Tara...for now

Well the time is nigh, the packers are in (and I not talking about Green Bay) and I'm sat on my husbands laptop writing this note. We leave on Thursday am. The dog is booked and ready to go. Not that she knows yet. We are attending leaving parties galore. Have to say I'm still feeling positive about the move. I went to my friends wedding last weekend and for the first time I didnt feel gutted that she had all her family around her. The only time I've felt nostalgic ironically is driving down the main road through my town and seeing all the shops that I've spent the last 4 years walking around. I'm sure there will be a time when I will feel sad however at the moment I'm looking forward to getting home and getting on with things and feeling alive again. In the words of American Idol, Its been an amazing journey! however as I knew it wouldn't last forever I would rather go now than drag it on and leave later, when it would be truly hard. Now its time to get on with life and I cannot wait. :)

Lisa, where has the last month gone? I can't believe we've been back four weeks already. I know you will be fine as you're looking forward to getting on with your life. It's a wonderful feeling. Good luck with all the last minute stuff, and we look forward to hearing from you again.

I am very pleased for you! It really rang true what you said about the shops that's really all I can think of missing if that's the right word, I suppose it's just more of a nostalgia. I don't even care about my house all that much- because I know it's not for good, but I will feel sad to leave it, as I will my town as I've occupied it for almost 5 years.

There's just not much of me tied up in this place- my memories are mostly of england and I am mostly unchanged by the US in my belief system etc.
