Re: Super Bowl 2015
I just rewatched highlights, there were so many important plays, that all had to work out for the win to come. The fake goal move, those extra points were needed. The onside kick. The two pointer. And one I really only noticed on second viewing. Luke Wilson being pulled down over the 10 yard line for a first down with 1:49 to go. To set up the touchdown to take the lead.

Packers beat New England at Lambeau, remember. Rodgers wasn't remotely match fit either. Packers would beat New England IMO, but Seahawks? Not unless New England can't work out a cheat. heh.

I believe New England has the best Offensive Line in the NFL - better even than Green Bay's. If Seattle give Brady as much time to throw as they gave Rodgers, it will be a walkover. I hope not, of course!

That was a terrible (but brilliant) display by the Seahawks, if they can manage to still win after playing so, so badly, you got to wander what it will take to stop them.

Pats look fairly unstoppable to me. I hate to say that as all the locals will be unbearable but it might be nice to be sucked up in the atmosphere. Closest I'll get to it as a Bears fan for a few years that's for sure...

Re: Super Bowl 2015
As were most Steeler fans, I was counting on our bitter rivals, the Ravens (as the roughest, meanest - albeit talented - team in the NFL) to keep the despised Patriots out of the Superb Owl. Unfortunately, they weren't quite up to that holy task; and we knew those candy-asses from Indy had no chance. Now nothing - certainly not Seattle - will keep Brady and that creepy Belichick with his Unabomber hoodie from taking home another SB win. I will probably end up watching Borgen to see something with real suspense.

I don't understand the under inflated balls issue? I doubt it's even a real story. I mean both sides are playing with the somewhat shriveled balls, so I don't see an advantage for either side.
I picked Seattle because I've been there a couple of times and like the area. Shrug

Re: Super Bowl 2015
The advantage of a slightly underinflated ball is that it is somewhat easier to grip and throw accurately, and somewhat easier to catch and hold. For some reason the NFL has each team provide 12 - I think - balls it will use while on offence. If the other side plays by the rules - as is the norm - they are playing at a disadvantage with a team that is cheating.
The Patriots are, without any doubt, the most disliked team outside their own area. They stopped play during a crucial game with Philadelphia some years ago so that they could get a snow plow to clear snow so that their place kicker could kick a field goal that won them that game. That had never been done before, and they got away with it because it wasn't addressed in the rule book. They were caught stealing the hand signals being used by the NY Jets in another game - and if they did that once when they got caught, it was probably their usual practice in all their other games. Now they've been caught cheating on the inflation of the balls they provided for the Colts game. Again, this was probably their usual practice prior. In other ways they seem to stretch the rules well beyond the norm, as though they are a bunch of shyster lawyers rather than a sports team.
So, it is very likely that 95% of fans in the US and Canada will be hoping that Seattle wins this one, although they really aren't good enough to accomplish that feat. The Pats probably have very few friends outside New England.

Re: Super Bowl 2015
I'm a Cardinals fan so this Super Bowl is just... I hate the Seahawks and no way do I want them to win, but the Pats and Beli-cheat are just... urgh. I suppose the Pats are the lesser of the two evils, by a very small margin.
We've got tickets to the NFL experience, so at least in that respect we're making the most of the game being played in Glendale.

As for the balls, underinflated makes them easier to grip and throw, but over inflated, if your QB has bigger hands, makes it easier to throw further and more accurately. Which is what Rodgers has admitted to doing, but seems not to be causing a huff at all.
