The forecast is actually looking quite promising for the next few days, we could even break 75 towards the end of the week, apparently its been 230 odd days since we hit 75

I guess this is the price we pay for such a mild dry winter!!!

It's bl@@dy roasting here in Katy, Texas. I can't get used to the fact that I burn my arse every time I get in the car. Oocha!

It was 104 yesterday and a little cooler at 97 today.

It's been like this since I arrived on June 10th.

I went into a local shop to buy some wine and the assistant said I looked like a Maine lobster. I told him I felt like one as well.

It's hot.

Is this the 'Katy' that is on the outskirts of Houston, or is there another Katy in Texas? This site shows 'Katy' with temp as 101F, with humidity 18%, while Houston is showing as 89F with 68% humidity. If Katy really is just on the outskirts of Houston, I have to believe that first report is for another place entirely! 101 F, 18% does not sound like Texas; 89F/68% does.

It will be in the high 90's here today with a heat index in the 100's. Hubby will be installing an a/c system and working in an attic.

I miss the UK version of a heatwave.

89F for a high? I wish. It was 91F at 8:30 this morning in Dallas (Houston is usually even hotter) and Wunderground is saying 85F with 91F heat index. I can tell the difference between 85F and 91F and it's was well past 85F when I walked out my front door this morning. Wunderground is good for storm tracking but they're always way way low on the temps in the summer for Dallas.
