Summer - guys with power tools!

What is it about here? It's a lovely Summer's day when you want to go and sit in the garden but you are surrounded by guys with power tools. On the nicest days they bring out the power washers, routers, hedge cutters, wood chippers, tractor lawnmowers, drills or the midlife crisis guy works on his motorbike and has to rev it a million times!
Oh how i long for the purr of my dad's push mower in the rolling hills of jolly old England!

Just wait. He'll end the day off with this to celebrate finishing the first of two days of being a weekend warrior.

The most I hear is people cutting their grass with lawn mowers although this might turn to silence if there's a drought like there was last year.

Sounds like our house :D

Reminds me... I must mow. Interesting, as currently the tractor goes great, but doesn't stop (brakes went out). Various people were gonna look at it. Not yet, sigh. Think the hilly part is not gonna get mowed today :(

The worst noise around here is the constant yap of the neighbours dog. If I had my way... :curse::curse::curse:

Some places have dog noise laws. Check out the city or county regulations. They may be in violation, in which case you can call animal control and they'll get a ticket.

Of course, I suppose it would be more neighborly to speak to them first.

I think it's more than reasonable if you just walk over to your neighbor's and shoot the dog in the head. Tough love, and all that.
