Spotify Alternative?

http://listen.grooveshark.com

Don't know if it is, but I'm liking what the "radio" is playing based on a few tunes I searched out for, but then I looked for Birdy Nam Nam and RJD2 to give it a base line to work from.

Preferring it to Last.fm so far at least.

I've not really got into these sorts of things (plenty of stuff on my ipod I haven't listened to in years so prefer to just put that on shuffle and see what comes up) but I've heard www.we7.com isn't bad.

Just been checking that out....it's not bad, but lacking in some tunes and the radio portion is a bit meh, only 30 second clips...much better making your own playlist.

So far liking Grooveshark though.

Deezer looked pretty good, but that French outfit might not last, seemed to have gotten pumled by Spotify.

A friend told me we7 had a pretty good collection of full tracks particularly on some obscure indie albums. I just tried one myself, and it seems it does play only 30 seconds on some tracks but on others full tracks, so it's probably down to a licensing issue. The channel I picked seemed to be over half full tracks though.
