So, what did you guys do for New Years?
I was boring - we stayed in, watched some fireworks from the window, but otherwise just chillaxed and went through a marathon of shows on Prime (I accidentally bought the subscription for a year instead of clicking out of the free trial, so I thought I better make the most of it).
I am waiting to hear your far more exciting stories of New Year revelry

Nothing. Ate a lot, but otherwise nothing. Just me, the wife and the kids. No visitors, no interlopers, no strangers.
It was lovely.

We went to a friends house for a pajama/breakfast party. It took 2 hours to cook breakfast and it probably would have been more edible if we'd just gone to IHOP. Took SmallChog home at about 10.30 and we all went to bed.

Yo roblufc, welcome! So are you from Leeds?
I'm with you, I dislike New Year as a holiday, mostly because I've always hated parties and enforced jollity. However, my wife's birthday is December 31, so we always have a bottle of prosecco and Carvel Ice Cream Cake. Then in bed by nine PM, for me.

I worked until 3:00, went to the shops, picked up some Chinese for tea and that was that. Fell asleep on the settee watching TV some time around 11:00. Assorted fireworks and my son stealing food briefly woke me up around midnight but I rolled over and went back to sleep, before finally being able to get up to go to bed around 1:00.

Younger son went round to the house of another bass player for a few hours and saw in the new year there. The rest of us stayed home, cracked open some booze, watched some stuff on netflix and chilled.
NYD lunch was home made scotch eggs and chips - making use of the turkey fryer before it gets put away again

Not much. Continued our Eastenders binge (got behind and are catching up), watched a Redbox movie (Equalizer) and crawled into bed around midnight.
Yesterday, continued the EE marathon. Caught up from April to almost the end of August since Christmas Eve, so still a ways to go. Then watched When The Game Stands Tall, and that was it. Just me & she who must be obeyed.
