Re: Snowing in Texas...
Pretty in pictures, we haven't had any here yet this winter, but that's fine by me, if I could just have it for Christmas day and no more, that would be perfect:thumbup:

Well, I don't blame them. It's completely unreasonable to expect parents doing the school run to drive drunk, over the speed limit, into the path of oncoming traffic, while yakking on a cell phone, when it's snowing!

Re: Snowing in Texas...
Schools closing!??
Up here they don't close the school unless the school falls down due to sheer volume of snow on the roof. The Obama's children were amused to find schools closed in Washington last year because of 'a bit of ice' School's haven't closed here since 1999 i believe. |

Shit. This means I have to take my kids to Disneyland next year.:(

Re: Snowing in Texas...
It was 60 degrees in NYC yesterday in NYC! We never seem to get a good snowfall anymore! I remeber about 15 years ago we had almost two feet of snow . The roads were clsoed except for emergency vehicles. People were cross country skiing in the streets!

Yup back in Bonny Scotland this would be termed 'thick rain' and although dude is thrilled with the afternoon off he is disappointed with the lack of thick deep snow! He has, however, found a good use for what there is.

If the plants were under a mound of snow, then that would be snow.

Re: Snowing in Texas...
You people don't understand, this is the Texas Gulf Coast where temps rarely drop below 70 degrees in the "winter". Snow is so rare it is a novelty. No-one knows how to drive in it.....especially school bus drivers so everyone has gone home before it gets worse which apparantly it is supposed to.
(Everyone has gone home, except me. I have to stay at work longer:sneaky:) |
