Anyone got any ideas of how I can get hold of some snow chains today? Like walk into a shop and ge them? As you can tell I am a novice to snowy stuff. Hoping to try out skiing today and the recommendation is to use snow chains when driving back down the mountain.
PS I live in Southern California, hence the difficulty.

Go to any auto store....like Napa for example. Unless you have a weird car, they should be able to help or point you in the right direction.

You might want to check whether they're legal or not. I don't think they are in all states.

They have them at Autozone just down the road, hooray. Difficulty is that we have a loan car (Ford Fusion) whilst OH RV is being repaired - mmmm unlikley that one set will fit both cars.....

You can rent them from a ski rental shop. Plenty of them in LA/OC. They're a pain to put on and can mess the car up ( wrap around the axle) if they come off.
