Six Ingredients or Less

Re: Six Ingredients or Less
If I use DelMonte instead of Heinz will I have to adjust the cooking temperature? By how much?

I believe the simmer temperature of the water should remain unchanged, but as Del Monte has a slightly lower viscosity, you should be able to reduce the cooking time by around 17 seconds.

Yorkieabroad you should have included that vital piece of information in your original post.

Brocoli, Kale, asparagus, all steamed together for 5 minutes. Then I prefer unsalted butter with lots of pepper as an enhancer. Tasty and off the charts good for you!

On a separate note - I once knew a guy who decided one day (on a whim) to make fried rice. So he just took some rice and fried it. He didn't realized that it had to be cooked first. What a mess....

But aren't there two types of lasagna sheets? Those that require pre-boiling in water prior to assembling the lasagna and those that don't. I am assuming that those that don't have been made differently to allow for this.

You can buy hard sheets in a box, but they've been made with eggs - or fresh lasagna sheets from the fridge section and those have been made with egg too. The boxed stuff lasts for years. The fresh stuff doesn't.
