Mine turned into that kind of thing after having to constantly sign documents at work. It's a natural progression, started off as my full name in cursive, then ended up as a 'C' with a squiggle and a bit of a loopy thing after it. Surprisingly, when I'm signing multiple documents, it stays reasonably consistent.

The only time mine has changed was when the surname changed as the flow altered. Mind you it does look very off when I'm signing on a delivery guy's tablet thing.

Have you ever been given one of those tablets and told to sign with your finger? my signature goes from bad to just X, or a happy/unhappy smiley face pending my mood.

Ah but then it's more difficult to pull the old 'my package never got delivered please send me another*'... and then the person looks up to see its just a poorly drawn face :sneaky:.
