Setanta / Fox Soccer Plus
Did anyone notice this news from yesterday
Setanta US to cease from March 1st onwards
Fox Soccer Channel picking up the slack and launching Fox Soccer Plus as of the same date.
I'm hoping Verizon will pick it up.....

So there will still be a FSC and an added Fox Soccer Plus?
I'm sure Dish will make the Soccer Plus an extra and not in the package we have that right now includes FSC

According to fox it will be a premium channel like Setanta sports is. I'm guessing around $12-15 a month. HD though which is nice. I think they are also adding an HD version of FSC.

BBC America is actually going to show the Six Nations, but for most other rugby you'll probably have to find an online option.

Re: Setanta / Fox Soccer Plus
Feb 6: Ireland v Italy - not shown, England v Wales - shown
Feb 7: Scotland v France - not shown
Feb 13: Wales v Scotland - not shown, France v Ireland - shown
Feb 14: Italy v England - not shown (there is a really important 47th re-run of Ramsay's Kitchen Bollocks being shown at this time)
If I understand this correctly then Setanta Premium would be going too (does anyone know for sure)? This would mean that you don't even have the option of going to the pub to watch the games either. (My preferred option as it's always packed with Brits and has a great atmosphere).
This is really pants...

Re: Setanta / Fox Soccer Plus
Setanta is stopping broadcasting last day of Feb and FSC Plus starts March 1 and will pick up most of the stuff that Setanta carried. I'm getting excited about BBC America showing the Six Nations because even 1 game in SD is better than no games which is what I would have seen.

Re: Setanta / Fox Soccer Plus
Has anyone had any luck in finding the cost of FSC Plus on Directv?
I'm guessing $14.99 a month subscription (same as Setanta USA currently is).
They know a lot of suckers (like myself) will pay it - cos we already are.
It would great if they just bundle it with the Sports Package that already includes FSC - thus saving us suckers some cash for once!
Having the games in HD will be great. Can't wait. Shame it is a couple of weeks too late for the much anticipated Saints v Pompey FA Cup 5th Rd game that is on Feb 13th.

Re: Setanta / Fox Soccer Plus
I can't wait for this game as well - I couldn't believe the draw especially with them being the last two teams out of the hat. I will actually be in the UK, but no chance of getting to the game we'll be at the other end of country at a family reunion
