Select a Candidate for 2008

The following is an interesting exercise.... You answer a few questions then click the "find your candidate button" and the program selects the candidate who's position on the issues is most like your own... You may be surprised at what you find....... Click the link below....

Now I just need to figure out who Chris Dodd is. :)

Dennis Kucinich -- no surprise there, me thinks!

I got Chris Dodd too. Perfect match. There again, I have a personal policy of not voting in a country I'm not living in, so I won't be getting my postal vote or vote by proxy sorted out. :)

Wow, a tie with 52 pts between Hillary and Barack, with Chris Dodd (who?) a close thurd and John Edwards not far behind.

I'd never vote for Hillary Clinton.

Chris Dodd appears to be a US Senator from Connecticut. A quick google search will turn up a lot of info - served in the Peace Corps and Army Reserves before turning to public service.

Won't divulge my results as the quiz is obviously fatally flawed
But it was interesting that my response to the following question was contrary to the stance of several candidates - should anyone who is against this policy be allowed to live, let alone stand for election...

Do you support federal assistance for the production of ethanol and/or biofuel as an alternative to oil?

That is so ironic ... I only match Democrats

Hmm - don't know about anyone else, but I'm somewhat suspicious of this survey.

Well - it depends. In my class on Thursday our professor told us that it takes more than a gallon of gas to produce a gallon of ethanol. If that's true (and if that's not just due to short term inefficiency) then there certainly seem to be problems with that solution! That being said, this doesn't mean that other biofuels shouldn't be explored.

1. Edwards/Richardson tied
2. Dennis Kucinich
3. Obama/Clinton tied

This election will be my first opportunity to vote since living here.
I'm sure that the quiz is not meant to be taken completely serious as the questions and options are limited, doubt you can pick a candidate based on only 5 or 6 questions.
But what a concept it would be to pick a president based on issues rather than millions of dollars put into dirty smear campaigns and PR

I got Chris Dodd 1st but disagreed with him on Iraq and marriage.
