Seattle Caffiene Freaks

For any of you out there. Just heard on NPR that Starbucks in Seattle are piloting a scheme of 1 dollar coffee, undercutting Maccy's and Dunkin D's. 8oz cup for one buck and free refills. This is Silly Sod bringing you the breaking news ha ha

EDIT: In fact, perhaps this could be merged with the thread in TIO which is also about coffee I have just noticed.

I'm with you there, mate. Give me an ordinary yeast-raised donut from a hole-in-the-wall shop any day. As the kids might say, KK is teh suxx0r!

Hello Uga me old chum :) Yes, I am out and about again. Not managed to get around to the steps you advised in the lab yet You are right, I may not be man enough for all that lol. That said we had a nasty malware pop up this morning when logging onto my space, so I may have to

Anyhoo, get yourself to seattle for coffee lol. I would imagine it will take off nationwide before long. My (perhaps twisted) logic being thus: People who can afford the silly prices at Starbucks will not lower themselves to drink the dollar a cup stuff, and so sales will not be affected in that respect. However, people who cannot afford to go there but would love the imagined status of being able to afford to go there will flock to the place. If that makes any sense?

Of course what do I know, I am a tea man myself (real tea I mean, hot, with milk and sugar, not that nasty ice cold stuff that you americans call tea!!)
