Im unsure if they are still contracted by the DHSS.There was a big stink in Scotland about them,they were telling new recuits to reject all applicants regardless if they were fit for work or not.This was in the last year so I dont know if they were doing this nonsense 4yrs ago.

At the risk of sounding like a hippy, the frustrating thing is that we should be getting on with things and moving forward now, getting mired in these old arguments is an unfortunate side-effect of nationalism. A cartel of Tory overlords has not got its boot on the neck of the country; I am not a fan of theirs but come on, let's be realistic, there are areas which could benefit from reform. If Labour attempts to do the same, they are decried as class traitors and vilified even more. Life ain't so bad for most people in the United Kingdom, why not build on what we have instead of trying to tear it down all the time?

So I'm guessing Scots made a huge gamble that the Labour party would win enough seats to gorm a coalition government with the SNP.

I don't understand how you came to the conclusion that there was a "huge gamble" involved. Whatever happened in Scotland it was always going to be how well Labour did in the rest of the UK that would determine whether or not they had a chance of forming a government so, from that perspective it made no difference how many of the Scottish seats ended up as Labour or SNP except, of course, that the more SNP seats there were the more leverage they would have had if they did end up in a coalition with Labour.

from watching the news here, (which I know is bias) it seems the Tories decided they were no longer going to win in Scotland so it you intended to vote Tory which would be a wasted vote, they were told to tick SNP instead and in the meantime, the Tories put the fear of god into English voters that if Labour became a minority government, they would be governed by that Marxist leader in Scotland. I suspect a lot of the disenchanted liberal supporters voter Tory (so called shy Tories) Nicola Sturgeon encouraged this idea saying she would only form a coalition with Labour if she could dictate the budget. Both parties 'won' but the biggest winner has been David Cameron as he now has absolute power and can afford to ignore the Scots on most of their demands but giving enough lip service to keep the SNP going. Should be an interesting 5 yrs

I don't think Cameron can afford to ignore the Scots on any major point. A lot of Scots believe (and they may well be justified in believing) that the recent referendum was stolen and that the majority favoured independence. They will factor that belief into all their negotiations with Cameron. (Of course it will only need a false-flag "terrorist" attack in Scotland to pull them all back into line, but even so...)
