Right, now England needs a referendum on independence. Leave the Celtic nations to it.

Have to agree as a property owning tax paying non voter.

Wee Ecks on now hailing his losing vote as a victory.

Officially no then with a 91% turnout. Pretty impressive. Was listening to Tommy Sheriden on NPR on the way home from work. He basically said the 1.6 million that voted no had been conned. What an odious twat!

Australia has that I think. Not sure what the penalty is. As a friend said to me low turn its are a feature not a bug. The parties would hate it if people actually cared to vote then they would have to convince all of us.

The Quebec referendum in the mid '90's lost by less than 1%. There hasn't been a "next time" since. I suspect the same will be true of Scotland.

He was saying the same thing in a R5 Live interview. Sour grapes from a sourpuss.

Now it's all done and dusted, praise be, all one big "happy" family again...now it's time for England to go about seeking "justice and fairness" - hopefully without resorting to a similar English independence referendum.

The No vote clearly lacks a mandate, the consequences will be interesting.
